Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a Paving Operator for its Asphalt division in the United States.

You will safely operate paving equipment to lay and finish pavement to project specifications, monitor mat thickness and compaction, and coordinate with the crew for efficient production. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years’ experience with asphalt paving on highway or large-scale projects, plus daily travel and reliable transport.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience operating asphalt paving equipment on highway or large-scale projects.
• Daily travel required, must have reliable transportation.
• Proven ability to operate pavers, rollers, and associated equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, mat thickness, compaction, and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, grade stakes, and layout markings accurately.
• Skilled at coordinating with crew members, including screed operators and lutemen, to maintain production flow.
• Knowledge of routine equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive care.
• Commitment to job site safety, including adherence to traffic control and OSHA protocols.
• Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to producing high-quality, durable pavement.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt paving equipment to place, level, and finish pavement per specs.
• Monitor mat thickness, asphalt flow, and compaction for quality results.
• Coordinate with paving crew to optimize production.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Follow highway safety regulations, traffic control plans, and site protocols.
