Amrize is seeking a Transfer Machine Operator for our Asphalt division in the United States. The role involves moving hot mix asphalt from delivery trucks to pavers, ensuring a steady material flow for efficient paving operations.

You will perform daily equipment checks and coordinate with the paving crew to uphold quality and safety standards. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of hands-on experience operating asphalt transfer machines on paving

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating asphalt transfer machines on commercial or highway projects.
• Daily travel required; must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt transfer machines to move and distribute hot mix asphalt from trucks to pavers safely.
• Monitor and control material flow to ensure consistent supply to the paving operation.
• Adjust machine settings and conveyor speed to maintain proper asphalt placement.
• Coordinate with truck drivers, paver operators, and crew members to maintain smooth workflow.
• Perform daily inspections, routine maintenance, and minor troubleshooting on transfer equipment.
• Identify and report mechanical issues or operational concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Follow project plans, job specs, and safety protocols, including traffic control and hot mix handling procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; handle asphalt and equipment properly.
• Commit to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments.
