State of Indiana’s INDOT Corydon Unit is hiring a Highway Technician to maintain Indiana highways, perform winter operations, and support emergency response. This entry-level role offers overtime and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL or obtain one within the first 90 days.
• Pass and submit to a drug test as a condition of employment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical activities.
• Must endure exposure to inclement weather and perform outdoor work.
• A degree is not required.

Responsibilities

• Comply with INDOT safety policies and procedures.
• Operate highway maintenance/traffic equipment to keep highways safe.
• Move and load supplies and materials.
• Perform winter operations including snow and ice removal.
• Assist with emergency response activities (traffic control, barricades).
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
