Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL or obtain one within 90 days of employment.
• Pass and submit to a drug test as a condition of employment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform physical activities (lifting, dragging, stooping, standing, walking).
• Must endure exposure to inclement weather.
• Operate specialty traffic equipment (bucket trucks, paint equipment).
• Follow directions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Comply with INDOT safety policies and procedures.
• Operate basic highway maintenance/traffic equipment to maintain roads and rights-of-way.
• Move and load supplies and materials.
• Perform winter operations and snow/ice removal.
• Perform emergency response activities (cleanup, traffic control, lane closures, signs, barricades).
• Perform regular inspections and routine equipment maintenance.
