Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL or obtain one within 90 days.
• Pass a drug test as a condition of employment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Able to work in inclement weather.
• Able to operate traffic and highway maintenance equipment.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Comply with INDOT safety policies and procedures.
• Operate highway maintenance and traffic equipment.
• Move and load supplies and materials.
• Perform winter operations and snow/ice removal.
• Respond to emergencies including traffic control and lane closures.
• Inspect and maintain equipment and perform basic repairs.
