• Six (6) months of related work experience or an approved equivalent.
• Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
• Must attain a Class A CDL within six (6) months of placement.

Responsabilidades

• Operates medium equipment such as tandem dump trucks hauling materials to and from job sites.
• Operates heavy equipment such as a backhoe in roadway surface repairs.
• Coordinates placement of traffic control devices to set up work zones per SC WZTC Manual.
• Operates hand tools such as a chain saw for tree cutting along highway right of way.
• Flags traffic during road repairs to control flow and ensure safety of workers and the public.
• Uses hand tools like shovel and bush knife.
• Assists in emergency and inclement weather operations, may require extended hours or 12-hour shifts.
