Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA seeks an experienced Business Development Manager to drive AWS adoption in US Higher Education, spanning four-year colleges, state systems, and community colleges. You will shape GTM strategies and build executive relationships to grow cloud and data solutions.

The role focuses on strategic sales, partnerships with ISVs, and working with university leaders to modernize infrastructure, analytics, and new revenue streams.

Qualifications

• Experience in learning design or related field.
• Background with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday).
• Ability to navigate a dynamic customer-service focused environment.
• Experience in roles within large university systems or similar institutions.
• Strong executive storytelling and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for US Higher Education accounts.
• Establish trusted relationships with Presidents, CIOs, Provosts and other leaders.
• Identify market trends by researching budgets, NIH/NSF/DOE funding, and state funding.
• Develop go-to-market strategies for cloud and data solutions.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Services, Partners and Marketing to deliver value.
• Advise product roadmaps based on higher education needs.
• Leverage partnerships with ISVs and systems integrators to accelerate adoption.
• Deliver quarterly business reviews and market intelligence to leadership.
• Represent AWS at EDUCAUSE and other industry events to boost brand.
