Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the US Higher Education vertical. You will define and execute go-to-market strategies, identify opportunities, and close deals with colleges, universities, and online education providers.

You will engage with senior leaders to align cloud, AI, and data solutions with institutional needs across teaching, research, and administration, collaborating with partners and AWS teams to scale adoption and modernization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of learning design, learning science, instructional design, educational psychology, or related field experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) or leading opportunities to improve processes.
• Experience in dynamic, customer-focused environments.
• Experience in administrative/leadership roles in large university systems or similar institutions.
• Strong storytelling and executive-level relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for US Higher Education accounts.
• Build trusted relationships with Presidents, CIOs, and other senior leaders at institutions.
• Identify trends by researching budgets, federal programs, and regulatory changes affecting higher education.
• Create go-to-market strategies for cloud solutions tailored to higher education buying cycles.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Partners, Marketing, and leadership to deliver value propositions.
