Job summary

Amazon seeks a Business Development Manager to drive growth and adoption of AWS services within the U.S. Higher Education vertical.

You will identify opportunities, build executive relationships, and shape go-to-market strategies across four-year colleges, state systems, community colleges, and for-profit institutions. Qualifications

• 5+ years in learning design, learning science, instructional design, educational psychology, or similar field.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) or leading opportunities to improve tools and processes.
• Experience in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
• Experience in roles within a large university system or similar institution.
• Strong leadership and executive relationship-building capabilities within higher education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for US Higher Education accounts.
• Establish trusted relationships with Presidents, CIOs, Provosts, and other executives at higher education institutions.
• Identify needs and market trends by researching budgets, funding, and regulatory changes affecting higher education.
• Create go-to-market strategies for solution areas and tailor procurement approaches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver compelling value propositions across teaching, research, and administration.
• Advocate for customer needs in product roadmaps and leveraging AWS capabilities.
• Leverage partnerships with higher-education ISVs, system integrators, and consulting partners to drive adoption.
• Deliver business reviews to senior leadership, including pipeline progress and market intelligence.
• Represent AWS at industry events to build brand awareness and thought leadership.
