Job summary

PHEAA seeks a Higher Education Access Partner to promote college access programs to educational institutions, legislative groups, customers, and the public in Pennsylvania. This fully remote position requires extensive travel and resides within the service region.

Primary duties include building relationships with financial aid offices, delivering training on college access and FAFSA, and collaborating with state and federal partners. Evening/weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years in school counseling or public service.
• Excellent public speaking with target audiences.
• Ability to educate students/parents to pursue higher education.
• Working knowledge of higher education processes (admissions, financial aid).
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships and educate institutions in an assigned area.
• Coordinate and deliver training on college access and financial aid.
• Maintain relationships with financial aid offices and share industry knowledge.
• Develop relationships with state legislators and participate in outreach efforts.
• Attend events like college and career fairs to distribute information.
• Operate independently with scheduling of visits, events, and activities.
