Job summary

Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) is seeking a Compliance Coordinator to join the State Grant & Special Programs Compliance Team. This remote role reviews student files for program eligibility and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations.

The position requires travel and collaborates with staff to develop policy guidance. The incumbent analyzes findings from program reviews, prepares corrective action plans, and communicates requirements to institutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of compliance experience in post-secondary financial aid.
• Excellent public speaking skills with targeted market audiences.
• Advanced analysis and research abilities.
• Ability to coordinate projects with moderate supervision.
• Strong interpretation of contracts and regulations.
• Clear written and oral communication; independent work style.
• Experience with institutional record-keeping and student accounts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; meets deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review school files for program eligibility and compliance with federal/state laws.
• Analyze policies to ensure adherence to PHEAA requirements and procedures.
• Provide technical assistance to institutions and staff on program reviews.
• Prepare correspondence detailing findings and required corrective actions.
• Collaborate with auditors and federal partners on joint reviews as needed.
• Manage multiple assignments with priority setting and timely delivery.
• Assist with training at workshops or conferences related to program review.
