Job summary

PHEAA is seeking a Compliance Coordinator to join the State Grant & Special Programs Compliance Team. This fully remote role oversees compliance inquiries, reviews of student files for eligibility, and ensuring adherence to federal and state rules. Travel up to 50%, with headquarters in Harrisburg.

Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential, along with a Bachelor’s degree and experience in financial aid compliance. The Internal Audit department leads these efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of compliance experience in financial aid.
• Excellent public speaking skills with targeted audience.
• Strong analytical and research abilities.
• Ability to coordinate projects with moderate supervision.
• Knowledge of financial aid programs and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct compliance review/testing of post-secondary school student files related to aid awarding.
• Ensure school policies align with PHEAA and federal/state regulations.
• Provide guidance to institutions to update policies/procedures.
• Prepare program review correspondence detailing findings and required actions.
• Collaborate with USDE auditors on joint program reviews.
