Job summary

The Chicago Marriott O’Hare is seeking a Line Cook to join our hotel culinary team. You will follow approved recipes, maintain quality, and work with the Executive Chef to ensure timely, safe, and accurate meal preparation for guests in a high-volume hotel environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of line cook experience in a busy hotel, the ability to lift 10 pounds or more, and a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ year cook experience in high-volume hotel.
• Ability to lift 10 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure compliance with food safety & food handling policies/procedures.
• Prepare & expedite all menu items accurately and timely according to standardized recipes and at the correct temperatures.
• Communication with Executive Chef of any food quality, safety issues, or equipment failure.
• Follow proper personal hygiene procedures to ensure food served to guests is safe for consumption.
• Positive attitude while being a team player.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
