Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking a Healthcare Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations in an acute care setting, maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment and directing meals per corporate guidelines. This energetic culinary professional will be responsible for menu planning, staff training, inventory, and compliance with health standards.

Preferred candidates have 5+ years of progressive culinary management, hospital/healthcare experience, and comfort

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• Extensive catering experience is a plus.
• Hospital/Healthcare culinary experience preferred.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience desirable.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience.
• Hands-on chef experience required.
• Knowledge of food, catering trends, sanitation, and cost controls.
• Proficient with computers; MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus according to guidelines.
• Follows recipes, portions, presentation; uses production worksheets and waste logs.
• Trains kitchen staff on food preparation, safety, and sanitation.
• Maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
• Manages inventory within guidelines to ensure availability.
• Decides on leftover utilization within company guidelines.
• Ensures compliance with health regulations and audits.
• Follows safety policies and participates in departmental meetings.
