Job summary

WSP is seeking a High Voltage Transmission Inspector to support projects in the Austin, Texas area and surrounding states. This role involves up to 100% travel with mobilization provided and field inspections to ensure conformance with plans and codes.

You will work with engineers and project managers to document findings, verify load calculations, manage progress, and prepare technical reports. Strong inspection experience and valid licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 9+ years post-education experience in construction inspection.
• Professional licensure/certification(s) required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of construction inspection principles, codes, and records.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection support to engineers to ensure construction compliance.
• Perform field inspections on projects of moderate scale and complexity.
• Generate concise documentation including photos, drawings, and calculations.
• Confirm quality and safety standards meet design specifications.
• Monitor progress and coordinate with project teams.
• Write technical inspection reports summarizing findings.
