Job summary

WSP is seeking a High Voltage Transmission Inspector to support engineers and project managers in ensuring construction compliance with plans, specs, and codes. The role involves field inspections of various construction projects, data collection, and generating detailed documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma with 9+ years of related post-education inspection experience.
• Licensure/certifications required.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Knowledge of construction inspection principles, codes, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile, and analyze data from site, plans, drawings, and reports.
• Perform inspections using survey instruments, metering devices, and test equipment.
• Provide technical guidance on inspection practices and problem resolution.
• Write technical inspection reports with photos, calculations, and drawings.
• Assist with risk assessment, plan coordination, and field/site work scheduling.
• Coordinate with client and contractors for inspections and approvals.
• Train entry-level inspection staff and supervise on-site activities.
• Ensure quality control and safety compliance on projects.
