Job summary

WSP is seeking a High Voltage Transmission Inspector to support engineers and project managers in the Houston area. This role may require up to 100% travel and mobilization to and from project sites across the region.

You will perform field inspections, review plans and specs, document findings, and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to energized transmission projects within a growing power practice.

Qualifications

• Inspection support to ensure construction compliance with plans, specs, contract documents, and codified requirements.
• Perform field inspections on projects of moderate scale, scope, and/or complexity.
• Generate accurate and concise documentation of assigned project aspects.

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile, and analyze data from the site, surveys, blueprints, plans, and reports for field inspection activities.
• Use survey instruments, metering devices, and test equipment to perform inspections and determine conformance with rules and permits.
• Follow standard practices to provide technical assistance and guidance that ensures quality and safety.
