Job summary

Premier Power Maintenance is seeking a field technician to perform electrical testing, maintenance, commissioning, upgrades, and repairs at customer facilities. The role involves working on high voltage equipment in substations, with opportunities to assist in transformer, cable, and circuit breaker testing and in the installation and repair of electrical systems.

The position requires strong problem-solving, communication, and PC skills; willingness to travel overnight and work outside standard

Qualifications

• Requires basic to advanced electrical knowledge with testing and maintenance experience.
• Candidates should be able to read manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Willingness to relocate within 60 miles and travel for on-site substations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in mechanical and electrical tasks on equipment used in power transmission, distribution, and generation at customer facilities.
• Read manuals and schematics to troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean components in a substation.
• Participate in transformer, cable, and circuit breaker testing procedures.
• Assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment.
• Attend safety meetings and training; adhere to safety standards.
