Job summary

Premier-Power-Maintenance is seeking a skilled field service technician to test, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and commission electrical power equipment at customer facilities. You will work hands-on in substations and industrial environments, solving complex issues and ensuring safe, reliable power systems.

Ideal candidates have extensive electrical testing experience, the ability to read schematics, and a track record of working independently under demanding schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology, military experience, or related technical training preferred.
• Eight or more years of experience in electrical testing, maintenance, commissioning, or substation work.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems and testing procedures.
• NETA certification or ability to obtain NETA Level III or IV certification.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as NETA, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and DOT.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, maintenance, commissioning, upgrades, and repairs on electrical power equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in substations and power systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, drawings, manuals, and technical documentation.
• Complete service reports, testing documentation, and customer deliverables.
• Support emergency response work and customer outage situations as needed.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
