Job summary

Premier Power Maintenance is seeking an experienced Electrical Substation Technician to work onsite at customer facilities across the region. You will perform testing, installation, maintenance, commissioning, upgrades, and repairs of high-voltage equipment, and document findings for customer reports.

Must read schematics, troubleshoot complex faults, and maintain safety standards. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in substation work, NETA testing familiarity, and ability to obtain NETA Level

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; higher electrical degrees preferred.
• 10+ years in electrical substation testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, assembly, and commissioning.
• Ability to achieve NETA level III or IV within 6 months of employment.
• Willingness to relocate within 60 miles of the regional office.
• DOT/OSHA safety compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical and electrical tasks on power transmission, distribution, and generation equipment at customer facilities.
• Read manuals and schematics to troubleshoot problems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean all components in a substation.
• Lead transformer, cable, circuit breaker, and relay testing.
• Participate in safety meetings and field project planning.
