Job summary

Premier Power Maintenance in Roseville, MN is seeking an entry-level Field Service Technician to perform electrical testing, preventative maintenance, commissioning, upgrades and repairs at customer facilities. You will read manuals and schematics, troubleshoot substation equipment, and assist with transformer and cable tests while traveling locally.

The role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment, participation in safety meetings, and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology preferred.
• Experience with electrical substation testing and commissioning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in mechanical and electrical tasks on equipment used in power transmission, distribution, and generation at customer facilities.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and diagrams to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean all components in a substation.
• Participate in transformer, cable, and circuit breaker testing.
• Participate in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment.
• Participates in safety meetings and training.
