Job summary

Premier Power Maintenance in Brighton, MI, is seeking a Field Service professional to perform electrical testing, maintenance, commissioning, upgrades, and repairs at customer facilities. The role requires travel and overtime as necessary, with a focus on safety and high-quality service.

The candidate should have a background in electrical/substation work, strong problem-solving, and the ability to read schematics and manuals. A GED or diploma is required, with advanced degrees preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology preferred.
• Experience in electrical substation testing, construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, assembly, and commissioning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical and electrical tasks on equipment used in power transmission, distribution, and generation at customer facilities.
• Read and interpret manuals and schematics to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean components in a substation.
• Assist/lead tests: Transformer Testing, Cable Testing, Circuit Breaker Testing.
• Participate in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment.
• Maintain safety and documentation and report progress regularly.
