Job summary

Hanson Professional Services, Inc. in Indianapolis seeks an Electrical Engineer specialized in medium/high voltage to help design power systems for renewables and transmission projects.

You will lead technical design, calculations, drawings, QA/QC, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across offices. PE licensure required or achievable within six months; 5+ years consulting experience; Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering.

Qualifications

• Requires PE licensure or ability to obtain within six months.
• Minimum 5 years of consulting experience in medium- and high-voltage power design.
• Experience preparing electrical construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Graduate degree or professional registrations are a plus.
• General Contractor License a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design medium- and high-voltage power distribution and management systems for renewables (solar, wind, BESS, EV charging, microgrids).
• Prepare specs, calculations, drawings, and construction packages for 15kV–200kV systems.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with standards.
• Provide technical support to field personnel for HV collection systems and substation equipment.
• Travel occasionally for client meetings and field reviews.
