FirstService Residential in Jersey City is seeking a seasoned Community Manager to lead day-to-day operations of a homeowners association. You will work under the Board of Directors to ensure financial health, staff development, and compliance with governing documents while coordinating with emergency services and community partners.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, executive leadership, and hands-on management of budgets, staff, and facilities to deliver exceptional community services

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field and three years' experience in Property Operations, Hospitality or Construction; or equivalent combination.
• Seven years of successful community management experience or equivalent professional experience with at least 4 years leading staff.
• Management experience in a small or medium-sized organization with multiple departments preferable.
• Understanding of building management, Condominium law, financial planning and related property management law.
• Valid Driver's License and State Mandated Vehicle Insurance.
• Commitment to obtain CPM, PCAM, ARM or AMS designations or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership and direction in the development of short- and long-range plans; lead annual goal setting.
• Review organization structure and roles; advise Board on changes.
• Partner with public, private and volunteer organizations to provide community services.
• Support Board sub-committees and community staff oversight.
• Know and apply governing documents; advise on revisions.
• Ensure alignment between Board, committees and management staff.
• Lead day-to-day operations, budget creation and financial reporting.
• Recruit, hire, train and supervise all community staff per management plan.
• Coordinate with local emergency organizations on evacuation and safety plans.
• Attend Board meetings; provide agenda support and written/oral reports.
