Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Community Association Manager in the Washington, DC area to lead the operation in alignment with the Board's mission and community goals. You will serve as a single point of contact for residents and staff, ensuring effective oversight and communication across departments.

You will develop short- and long-term plans, oversee budgeting and financial reporting, and ensure compliance with governing documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field and three years’ experience in Property Operations, Hospitality or Construction or equivalent.
• Seven years of successful community management experience or equivalent with at least 4 years supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction in development of short-term and long-range plans.
• Review organization structure and functions; advise Board on changes.
• Partner with public, private and volunteer orgs to provide community services.
• Recruit, hire, train and supervise all community staff.
• Manage annual budget creation and reporting of monthly financial position.
• Ensure compliance with civil codes, declarations and governing documents.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, risk management and asset protection.
