Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in operating a community association, including financial, governance and staff management. You will assist with budgeting, financial recordkeeping, and coordinating attorneys and engineers.

The role emphasizes budget oversight, contract negotiation, policy adherence and communication with the board to ensure smooth daily operations. Full-time with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in hospitality, property or facilities management.
• Minimum 2 years project management experience.
• Experience managing large direct or indirect staff.
• Working knowledge of budgets and fiduciary responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Board with the annual budget preparation and daily financial management.
• Support the General Manager in day-to-day operations of the community association.
• Coordinate with attorneys, auditors and engineers as needed.
• Prepare board meeting materials and management reports.
• Monitor and report monthly financials and maintain records.
