Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a seasoned Community Manager in the United States to lead day-to-day operations of a residential association. You will work under the Board’s direction, overseeing staff, budgets, compliance, and community programming to ensure service excellence.

The role requires extensive management experience in property operations and a commitment to industry designations (CPM/PCAM/ARM/AMS). Full-time exempt position with comprehensive benefits and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field; 3+ years in Property Operations, Hospitality or Construction; state certifications preferred.
• Seven years of community management experience with staff; leadership of multiple disciplines.
• Experience in building management, condominium law, financial planning for property management.
• Valid driver’s license and state-mandated vehicle insurance.
• Commitment to obtain CPM, PCAM, ARM or AMS designations or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to develop short- and long-range plans; set annual goals.
• Review org structure, job descriptions, and functions; advise Board on changes.
• Partner with organizations to provide community services.
• Supervise staff and ensure adherence to the management plan.
• Monitor annual budgets and monthly financial position; report to Board.
• Lead board meetings with agenda support and actionable follow-up.
• Ensure compliance with civil code, governing documents, and budgets.
• Perform building inspections and ensure due diligence for funds and assets.
• Maintain on-site visibility and coordination with emergency organizations and departments.
