Job summary

FirstService Residential seeks an Assistant General Manager to lead with the General Manager in delivering excellent community management. You will support board goals, oversee day-to-day operations of facilities, and ensure safe, efficient service delivery across the community.

You will supervise front desk and janitorial teams, manage vendor performance, and collaborate with consultants and committees to balance quality with cost while maintaining compliance with governing documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or pertinent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a service-related industry, preferably Community Management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure common areas, landscape and recreational facilities are maintained in excellent condition.
• Provide oversight for regular and ongoing inspections of facilities for repairs, maintenance, and improvements.
• Ensure subcontractors’ adherence to specifications and that work is completed in accordance with Association contracts.
• Assess and monitor community needs: identify opportunities for improving service delivery methods and procedures.
• Oversee the Janitorial Team in conjunction with General Manager to ensure that all amenities and facilities are maintained at an optimal level.
