Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking a General Manager to oversee daily operations, ensuring quality food, a clean environment, and efficient service. You will lead by example, manage staffing, and drive sales while maintaining Sonic standards across the drive-in.

You will be responsible for hiring and developing Great People, managing a P&L, scheduling, inventory, and local marketing initiatives to deliver the best Sonic experience for guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business or restaurant management preferred
• Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred)
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and local health/sanitation laws
• Leadership and supervisory practices; strong verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise, and develop staff to deliver a great SONIC experience
• Lead with a fair, firm, and fun management style and set clear expectations
• Manage profit and loss and drive weekly/monthly/yearly performance
• Prepare employee schedules and adjust staffing to meet demand
• Monitor inventory and place orders within cost-control procedures
• Maintain payroll and employment records
• Interview and hire restaurant crew and management team
• Develop and implement local marketing plans and initiatives
• Provide feedback, coach for performance, and resolve concerns
• Create an upbeat, positive atmosphere during shifts
• Use metrics to evaluate performance and drive improvements
• Collaborate with franchise team to ensure compliance with standards
