Job summary

M&T Bank Corporation is seeking a dynamic Relationship Manager for its Lancaster, PA area to manage a portfolio of small business banking clients. You will develop new relationships, service existing ones, and work with branch partners to maximize sales across cash management, loan products, and merchant services.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus 4+ years in sales/banking, with strong credit, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of related sales/banking experience.
• Ability to read and analyze financial statements and tax returns.
• Solid understanding of Cash Management, Merchant Services, and Trade Services for Business Banking clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop new banking relationships with business prospects and service existing clients.
• Achieve goals as outlined by manager and maximize sales with branch partners.
• Network with accountants, attorneys, and referral sources; promote cross-sell of bank products.
• Evaluate credit information and requests; recommend appropriate loan structures to manage risk.
• Negotiate with underwriters and clients to maximize revenue and minimize risk.
• Oversee 15–40 relationship‑managed clients and drive cash management and other product sales.
