Job summary

Benihana Temecula is seeking a hibachi chef to entertain guests, cook on the teppan, and deliver a memorable dining experience. You will manage food preparation, portioning, and table-side cooking while maintaining clean workstations and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Successful completion of Benihana chef training program.
• Previous experience as a chef or cook is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests within 15 minutes of teppan order and provides a welcoming experience.
• Performs a cooking show at assigned tables with courteous interaction.
• Informs guests about Benihana foods as they are cooked or upon inquiry.
• Responds promptly to guest requests and follows instructions.
• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables for cooking using kitchen equipment.
• Performs shift opening/closing duties and keeps areas clean and organized.
• Complies with portion standards, recipes, and beverage service guidelines.
