Job summary

Benihana Conroe is seeking a dedicated hibachi chef to engage guests and deliver a memorable dining experience. You will perform live cooking shows at the teppan, prepare diverse foods, and ensure portions and presentation meet company standards.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, answering questions about the menu, maintaining cleanliness, and following FIFO and safety guidelines. Prior experience is welcome, with a 5-week paid training course for new chefs.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to successfully pass Benihana chef training program.
• Previous experience as chef or cook highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests within 15 minutes of teppan order; perform cooking show.
• Provide guests with information about Benihana foods during cooking.
• Cook varied meats, seafood and vegetables using kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas and hibachi tables; follow FIFO.
• Handle, label, and rotate foods; ensure safe food storage and portions.
• Overall upkeep of cooking areas and adherence to company standards.
