Benihana in Cincinnati is seeking a skilled hibachi chef to engage guests and deliver a memorable dining experience. You will perform entertaining cooking shows and ensure portions meet quality standards while maintaining a clean cooking area.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, completion of Benihana chef training, and prior cooking experience. Paid training, competitive benefits, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to successfully pass Benihana chef training program.
• Previous experience as chef or cook highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests within 15 minutes of teppan order.
• Performs a cooking show for assigned tables ensuring interaction is appropriate.
• Reads guests for information about Benihana foods.
• Responds promptly and courteously to guest requests.
• Asks guests for cooking preference and follows guest instructions.
• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking.
• Performs shift opening and closing duties as assigned by the manager.
• Maintains kitchen and teppan areas, reports maintenance issues.
• Adheres to portioning, cooking methods, recipes and procedures.
• Prepares foods according to portions and recipe specs.

Education

High School diploma or GED

Successful completion of Benihana chef training program

Previous chef/cook experience desirable
