Job summary

Benihana - Woodlands seeks a professional hibachi chef to engage, entertain, and deliver a memorable dining experience. You’ll perform cooking shows at the hibachi table, ensure proper portions, and maintain clean, safe work areas while cooking hot meals in front of guests.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and successful completion of Benihana chef training, with prior kitchen or chef experience considered desirable.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to successfully pass Benihana chef training program.
• Previous experience as chef or cook highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes guests within 15 minutes of their teppan order(s).
• Performs a cooking show for assigned tables ensuring interaction with guests is appropriate and courteous.
• Reads guests’ questions and informs them about Benihana foods as they are cooking.
• Represents a clean and neat appearance and a courteous manner with all guests.
• Presents foods according to portions standards and recipe specifications.
