Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a Home Health Aide in Augusta, GA, offering $12 per hour. The role provides personal care per the patient’s plan of care, including assistance with baths, hygiene, dressing, feeding, and safety at home.

You will document conditions and communicate with the nurse supervisor as part of a compassionate care team. Responsibilities include vital signs when ordered, safe transfers, exercise assistance, and completing Maxim competency programs.

Qualifications

• Meets training requirements per state and federal laws.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given.
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification.
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations.
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program.
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient with and per plan of care: baths, oral hygiene, dressing and undressing, toileting, feeding, etc.
• Record and report vital signs and changes as ordered by supervisor.
• Ensure safe transfers and ambulation per plan of care.
• Follow exercise plan and assist with range of motion as ordered.
• Assist with patient laundry and safety practices at home.
• Communicate clearly with client, family/caregiver and office.
• Observe and document patient condition; report changes to nurse supervisor.

Hourly Pay: $12 / per hour

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring for a Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care services, as necessary, to meet the patient’s needs.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting patient with and per plan of care, the following;
  • Baths, Oral hygiene, Dressing and undressing, Toileting activities, feeding, etc
  • Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  • Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
  • Exercise according to the plan of care
  • Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  • Patient’s laundry
  • Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)
  • Observation and teaching of home safety practices
  • Recognition of an emergency situation and knowledge of emergency management procedures
• Must follow patients plan of care and complete all tasks assigned
• Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family/caregiver and office
• Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes, to the assigned nurse supervisor
