Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides in Wichita Falls, Texas to assist patients per the plan of care in a private duty setting. You will help with baths, hygiene, dressing, feeding, and mobility, and monitor vitals as ordered.

Responsibilities include following the care plan, communicating clearly with nurses and family, observing patient condition, and documenting changes. Maxim offers competitive pay, weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given.
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients per plan of care with activities of daily living (baths, hygiene, dressing, feeding).
• Take and record temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered.
• Assist with safe transfer, ambulation, and range of motion exercises as ordered.
• Follow the plan of care and complete all tasks assigned.
• Communicate clearly with client, family/caregiver and office; observe and document patient condition.

Job description

Hourly Pay: $15 - $20 / an hour

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting patient with and per plan of care, the following;
  • Baths, Oral hygiene, Dressing and undressing, Toileting activities, feeding, etc
  • Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  • Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
  • Exercise according to the plan of care
  • Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  • Patient’s laundry
  • Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)
  • Observation and teaching of home safety practices
  • Recognition of an emergency situation and knowledge of emergency management procedures
• Must follow patients plan of care and complete all tasks assigned
• Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family/caregiver and office
• Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes, to the assigned nurse supervisor

Requirements:

• Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
