Job summary

HALO Precision Diagnostics is seeking a Patient Navigator to guide patients through hereditary cancer genetic testing and phlebotomy workflows in a fast-paced clinic in Largo, FL. The role emphasizes patient education, care coordination, and precise specimen collection within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates will be nationally certified in phlebotomy with venipuncture skills and at least 2 years of clinical experience, including insurance verification and prior authorizations.

Qualifications

• Nationally certified phlebotomist with strong venipuncture skills.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (front office or back office).
• Minimum 2 years of experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with diagnostic or genetic specimen collection.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through hereditary cancer genetic testing from start to finish with clear education.
• Coordinate with partner sites to integrate workflow and scheduling.
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens for genetic testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR/EHR systems and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Provide compassionate patient support and resolve scheduling or insurance barriers.
