HALO Diagnostics in Herndon, VA is seeking a Patient Navigator specializing in hereditary cancer testing to educate patients, coordinate care, and assist with phlebotomy in a full‑time, in‑person role. You will work with a multidisciplinary clinical team to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a Medical Assistant with a clinical team.
• Experience with insurance verifications and authorizations (min 2 years).
• National Certified Phlebotomist with strong blood collection experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong phlebotomy skills including venipuncture for genetic testing.
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide education and support for high‑risk patients undergoing genetic testing.
• Register patients and schedule follow‑ups.
• Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to build trust.
• Perform blood draws and specimen collection with accuracy.
• Verify and label patient specimens at collection.
• Maintain documentation and uphold HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming clinical environment.
• Collaborate with clinical team to complete daily tasks.
• Serve as key patient contact reflecting HALO’s commitment to precision care.
