Job summary

UHA University Health Associates is seeking an Advance Practice Professional (APP) specializing in Hematology/Oncology to deliver patient-centered care in infusion centers and ambulatory clinics.

The role requires an MSN, national APRN certification, WV RN/APRN licensure, and BLS with ACLS as available. Experience in hematology/oncology is preferred, with opportunities to teach residents and students.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as RN/APRN in West Virginia.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training as needed.
• Hematology/Oncology experience preferred; new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage comprehensive, individualized care for hem/onc patients in infusion center and ambulatory settings.
• Complete daily rounds and pre-treatment evaluations; participate in outpatient and inpatient care.
• Perform integrated assessments and coordinate tests and referrals.
• Develop and communicate a plan of care with the clinical team and ensure appropriate discharge planning.
• Mentor staff, participate in education of residents and students, and support program outcomes.
