Job summary

NP or PA candidates must have NP Master’s, PA ARC-PA credential, and WV licensure, with BLS; oncology experience preferred and advanced life support training may be required by the department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as RN/APRN in West Virginia.
• BLS Certification required with possible ALS training at department discretion.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive and individualized care for hematology/oncology patients in infusion center and ambulatory settings.
• Performs daily rounds and pre-treatment evaluations; participates in clinics and inpatient care.
• Orders tests or consults as appropriate; communicates results per guidelines.
• Documents plan of care and discharge/follow-up arrangements for outpatient care.
