Job summary

UHA University Health Associates is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to provide high-quality hematology/oncology care in the infusion center and ambulatory settings. The APP collaborates with physicians, nurses, and staff to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients within scope of practice and specialty.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s in Nursing or PA program, WV RN/APRN licensure eligibility, and BLS certification with ACLS as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as RN and APRN in West Virginia.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• ARC-PA approved PA training program or NP program for PA path.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive and individualized care in infusion center and ambulatory settings.
• Performs daily rounds and pre-treatment evaluations.
• Orders tests/consults per guidelines and scope of practice.
• Documents plans of care and nursing/medical interventions.
• Provides education to patients, families, and staff and participates in discharge planning.
• Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
