Job summary

UHA University Health Associates in Martinsburg, WV is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional (APP) with hematology/oncology expertise. The role requires NP/PA credentials, ARNP/PA licensure in West Virginia, and BLS with ALS/ACLS training. Responsibilities include education, discharge planning, and participation in teaching residents

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an RN and APRN in West Virginia.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification with ALS/ACLS as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive and individualized care for hematology/oncology patients in infusion center and ambulatory settings.
• Performs rounds, pre-procedure evaluations, and coordinates discharge planning.
• Documents plan of care and coordinates follow-up with the care team.
• Provides education to patients, families, and staff and participates in resident/student teaching.
• Assists in development of clinical guidelines and participates in QI initiatives.
