Qualifications

• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology or an Associates in Laboratory Science/Medical Technology.
• ASCP certification is preferred.
• Foreign-educated candidates must provide credential evaluation (IERF) and US-educated candidates must provide transcripts.
• State-specific testing/certifications may apply; check with local HR.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report on assigned analytical tests per SOPs with quality control.
• Proficiently troubleshoot instruments and procedures; support QC and calibration activities.
• Maintain safe lab conditions and proper handling of specimens and reagents.
• Enter test results into LIS for standardized physician reports and records.
• Provide training and support to staff; assist with process improvements and special projects.
• Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety requirements; respond to inquiries from clients and lab staff.
