Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Houston, TX seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for Friday–Sunday nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). The role performs moderate/high complexity testing with independent judgment and ensures QC and instrument performance.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience or training in a high-complexity clinical lab setting.
• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology, or an ASCP preferred.
• Understanding of CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA guidelines and lab safety.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in testing and troubleshooting instruments/procedures.
• Support QC, equipment maintenance and process improvements.
• Perform/record tests per SOP and ensure QC requirements are met.
• Manage specimen handling, result reporting and record keeping.
