Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Royal Oak, MI is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for a Monday–Friday schedule from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM with rotational weekends. The role requires proficiency in moderate to high complexity testing and independent judgment.

Shift differentials of 10-15% may apply for late shifts. We look for a BS/BA in MT, Biology or Chemistry or an AS in Laboratory Science, with at least one year of clinical lab experience.

Qualifications

• One (1) year full-time experience or training in a clinical laboratory setting.
• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology, or Associates degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• ASCP Certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Perform test procedures of moderate/high complexity with independence and judgement.
• Support quality control, troubleshoot complex problems, maintain instruments, train staff and lead process improvements.
• Perform analytical tests per SOPs and ensure quality control requirements are met.
• Enter results into LIS for standardized reporting to physicians.
• Maintain safe, clean lab spaces and complete competency training.
