Hunterdon Health is seeking a Technical Lab Supervisor of Hematology to oversee day-to-day testing operations and reporting. This role installs, validates, and inspects hematology instruments, writes and enforces instrument policies, and acts in absence of directors to ensure proper lab procedures and test reporting.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, CLIA testing personnel qualification, and 4 years of supervisory experience in a high-complexity lab with hematology

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, biological, clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution and qualifies as testing personnel under CLIA regulations.
• Master’s Degree (preferred)
• 4 years as a General Supervisor in a high-complexity laboratory; Hematology experience required.
• At least 2 years as a technical supervisor
• ASCP registry in Medical Laboratory Science, or a specific registry in the specialty they will be supervising.
• Specialist Certification from ASCP (preferred)
• Knowledge of state and federal laboratory regulations and CAP guidelines. Basic Microsoft Office and LIS skills. Strong writing, problem-solving, customer service, and telephone etiquette.

Responsabilidades

• Provide day-to-day supervision of high-complexity microbiology test performance by testing personnel.
• Ensure expert technical oversight of Hematology, timely and accurate reporting of results.
• Evaluate competency of testing personnel and enforce action when needed.
• Collaborate with the lab director within budgets for the section.
• Bench testing as needed based on staffing.
• Maintain Laboratory Information System as required.
• Install, validate and inspect specialty instruments; enforce related policies.
