Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science required; clinical lab sciences preferred.
• MT (ASCP) or equivalent certification; laboratory certification in all areas.
• Minimum three years clinical laboratory experience; one year in lead/supervisor role.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the technical staff and analytical activities during the shift to ensure accurate results.
• Plans, assigns, reviews and evaluates staff work; maintains regulatory documentation.
• Resolves technical, operational and system issues promptly; maintains quality records.
• Collaborates with other supervisory staff and administration; participates in budgeting.
• Ensures safety, infection control, and proper equipment maintenance.
• Interviews, hires, trains staff and conducts performance appraisals.
