Job summary

The Placer County Superior Court is seeking a Help Desk Technician who enjoys technology, solving problems, and helping people. This role provides hands-on technical support to judicial officers, court staff, justice partners, and members of the public who use Court technology and digital services.

The successful candidate will have strong IT fundamentals and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate hardware, software, network, and end-user issues to reach effective resolutions.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time professional work experience in a formal help desk setting, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing personal computer hardware and software.
• Preference will be given to Information Technology certifications such as CompTia A+, Networking+ and Security+.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tickets.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to inquiries and requests for technical assistance from end-users on computer software and hardware.
• Diagnose hardware, software and network connectivity problems.
• Maintain the help desk ticketing system and monitor for trends.
• Install, configure and update PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, and other office equipment.
• Provide basic support for VOIP phones and audio/video systems.
