Placements24 is seeking a skilled Helpdesk Support Technician to provide essential IT support for employees in our California office. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations and clear communication with non-technical users.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, the ability to work independently in an on-site setting, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Helpdesk Technician or similar IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and common software applications.
• Experience with network troubleshooting and basic network administration.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a patient and helpful demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in an on-site setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, and in-person.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems to senior IT staff.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Assist with IT asset management, including inventory and tracking.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation, including user guides and troubleshooting procedures.
