Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Diesel Technology or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment repair, maintenance, or related technical field.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and potential overtime.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned repair tasks efficiently, aiming to meet or exceed flat rate times and minimize re-dos.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe workplace for the team.
• Accurately complete documentation including work orders, parts orders, JSA, and data in DBS, SIMS, SIS Web, and STW.
• Enforce HAZMAT guidelines and environmental safety requirements.
• Remove/install machine parts, disassemble/reassemble components, test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Provide precise repair quotations and pricing estimates after evaluating needs and resources.
• Diagnose mechanical failures using diagnostics tools and technical knowledge, offering repair recommendations.
• Conduct testing and verification to confirm repairs before job closure.
• Apply failure analysis methods and procedural standards to identify root causes and effective solutions.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to communicate progress and best practices.
